A L Walcott (1859-1919) was the long-time and much respected principal of West Branch School, which was associated with All Saints Church, near the Kingston Public Hospital. He was for many years an Anglican catechist, but always turned down suggestions that he should become a candidate for ordination. He felt he could best serve the church as a teacher.
